20-year-old East Dublin man dies from shooting

Victim was found outside apartments, died six days later.

A probe by the GBI and local officials into an aggravated assault has become a homicide investigation.

A 20-year-old man found Aug. 20 outside a Dublin apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds died last week. Johnny Hall of East Dublin was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Medical Center in Macon “from injuries from a gunshot wound,” said Laurens County Deputy Coroner Nathan Stanley.

“He was taken to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy because of the circumstances,” Stanley said.

According to a GBI report, Dublin police responded to Riverview Heights Apartments after someone called 911 to report seeing a man on the ground outside the complex. Investigators said Hall had been shot multiple times.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation regional office in Eastman was called in assist. No arrests have been made, and authorities are asking for the public’s help.
