Jordon and Scarborough face multiple charges including burglary, criminal trespass and felony theft by taking.

Both the A/C unit shop where the burglary occurred and the Macon recycling center were not named.

“Someone forgot to tell these two that Twiggs County is not the place to go shopping for free A/C units,” one official wrote in a post, announcing the arrests.

The sheriff’s office also reminds the public that if you see something, you should say something.

“If you notice suspicious activity, people entering property without permission, or something just doesn’t look right, contact law enforcement and let us check it out,” an official wrote in a social media post.

They also remind potential thieves that Twiggs County is not the place to set up shop.

“[I]f you’re going to steal, you probably shouldn’t come to Twiggs County. Our deputies and investigators have a pretty good habit of following the evidence.”
