Dublin-Laurens County Habitat for Humanity is looking for a new homeowner.

From March 1 through April 30, Habitat will be taking homeowner applications for House No. 44. People can find the applications on Habitat’s website (www.dublinhabitat.com), where they can fill it out online.

“Instructions are on there or they can contact us and receive a hardcopy because we know some people don’t have access to a computer” said Habitat Executive Director Tracy Kinney. “They have to have lived in Laurens County for the last 12 months, have the ability to repay a no-interest mortgage and be willing to perform a set number of sweat equity hours to help build the house.”

There is more criteria people can read on the website. The applications will not be able to be submitted until March 1.

“I want to encourage people to apply, even if they have applied in the past and were denied,” Kinney said. “Your situation may have changed so we need people to re-apply.”
