BASEBALL: No lack of offense for Dublin vs. Northeast in another region win
The Irish (mostly) breezed their way to an eighth region win in just five innings against the Raiders Tuesday at Bush Perry Field.

Dublin (mostly) breezed its way to an 11th overall win, and eighth in region action, in a return to action Tuesday afternoon.
The Irish logged 13 hits, and stolen bases, as they put away their series opener against Northeast Macon 15-5 in five innings.
Dublin (11-5, 8-1 region 2-High A) is set to visit Swainsboro on Wednesday before finishing up the two-game set in Macon Friday afternoon.
Players wearing Green found a plethora of ways to reach base – five times each via walk and error in addition to the double-digit hits – and typically stole second at will upon getting there.
The Irish swiped 13 bags – C.J. Stubbs, Ryland Yates and Will Wallace had two apiece – on the pair of Raider pitchers to maximize the impact of hits, to the tune of 11 RBIs.

SERIAL THEFT: Will Wallace swiped both his two bases back-to-back in the second inning of Tuesday’s game, stealing second and then third (left) on consecutive pitches with little objection from the Northeast battery, before getting a half-fist bump, half-high five (complicated by a baserunning mitt, right) from head coach Brian Brown/CLAY REYNOLDS
Northeast’s Bryce Talley and Emmanuel Thorpe combined to walk five, and hit two, while striking out only one.
Tyrese Robinson doubled and tripled for three RBIs to lead Dublin at the plate. Morgan and Jeff Davis also added two hits each to the count, with Xavier Reese, Bryceton Evans, Ryland Yates, Tal Duke, Wesley Maddox, Wallace and Bennett Lake picking up one.
Dublin scored its first 10 runs unanswered, striking for six in its biggest inning of the day in the third.
Five more between the fourth and fifth were enough to keep the 10-run cushion intact despite the same number over the span by the Raiders, who broke the shutout in the fourth with a lone run against Irish starter Reese, who allowed only three hits, striking out 10 with no walks.

Bennett Lake and Tal Duke covered the final inning, and it got a bit lengthy as Northeast took advantage of a hit and five walks to push home four runs, and cut the Dublin lead to 12-5, giving the Irish some work still to do to close up shop in one more half inning.
But all three outs, for the pair of hurlers, were on strikes. A first two by Lake and the last by Duke to end the inning before the Irish walked off with three in the bottom half.
Ethan Spivey drew a walk and stole second, Robinson grounded into an error for an RBI, Maddox singled Duke went to right with a double and Wallace grounded into an error to score pinch runner Damian Williams-Lopez for the winning run.
