Plenty of action at our Theatre Dublin stage

During the past couple of weeks, Theatre Dublin has been heating up with entertainment.

The Dublin Main Street Players got things rolling with “Over the River and Through the Woods” earlier this month. And just last week, the West Laurens High School Drama Team presented their one act play “65 Mustang.”

These events showcased the wide range of incredible talent we have in our area. Hopefully, members of the community were able to come out and see these fun shows that brought laughter and even some tears (that was more for “Over the River and Through the Woods”).

The actors in these productions worked hard on memorizing their parts, which takes a lot of time and energy. Their efforts shine every time the curtain rises. From a northern family trying to get their grandson to stay home, to a Mustang that makes it way from one generation to the next, these shows provided a lot of good moments and acting.

And there are a lot more shows on the way.

Dublin Community Theatre will present an early Christmas present with “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” a treat that will be available at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 15. Come out and watch as our young people portray the story of Christmas, in a way that you may have never seen before.

About a month after that, Theatre Dublin will have three performances of “The Nutcracker” on Dec. 13 and 14. This will be the 21st year this Christmas tradition will be performed on the stage, with many of the dancers coming from our city and county along with areas around us.

And then, for a final Christmas treat, there will be “A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage” on Dec. 20 and 21. Many of the cast from last year’s show will return to reprise their parts. Many have been on the stage in various roles throughout the year, so it will be good to see them once again show off their talent on the big stage.

Theatre Dublin and something for everyone and you never know who will be dancing, singing or acting across that stage. Get out and support all of these shows at our local theater.
