Veterans Day is Thursday, November 11, and there are many reasons to celebrate the men and women who have and continue to fight for this nation. Among the companies looking to give back to our veterans is Aspen Dental.

The national dental care provider will have a day of service to veterans on Saturday, November 7 in honor of Veterans Day. The day of service includes a 30-minute dental visit, with care focused on the patient’s, in this case the veteran’s, most urgent need, according to a release from the company.

“Oral health is a gateway to overall health. Problems that start in the mouth rarely stay there,” says Dr. Linh N. Tran, DDS/DMD, Aspen Dental practice owner in Duluth, Minnesota. “Gum disease has been linked to heart disease and diabetes, and an untreated infection can affect the whole body. Regular dental care is one of the simplest ways to protect your whole body, and it’s the step too many people put off.”

Appointments can be scheduled via this link, and are limited. Aspen Dental is located at the appropriately-named 2005 Veterans Blvd., Suite D4, in Dublin.

Other Aspen Dental locations in Atlanta, Augusta, Austell, Brunswick, Milledgeville, Newnan, Statesboro, and in Middle Georgia, Warner Robins, are also participating in the day of service.
