Suspect charged with murder in death of man found in ditch
A 20-year-old Dublin man was charged with murder Tuesday in the connection of the shooting death of Wrightsville man whose body was found in a ditch on Keens Crossing Road near East Dublin.
A 20-year-old Dublin man was charged with murder Tuesday in the connection of the shooting death of Wrightsville man whose body was found in a ditch on Keens Crossing Road near East Dublin.
According to a Laurens County Sheriff’s Office press release, Roy Lee Brown was charged in the death of 21-year-old Nicholas Nickson, who had been shot several times. Brown was arrested without incident has other charges pending.
Around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, the sheriff’s office responded to the scene in reference to a person having been shot. Deputies found Nickson, who was pronounced dead by Laurens County Deputy Coroner Nathan Stanley at 7:43 p.m.
Stanley said Nickson’s was taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Lab Monday for an autopsy.
