Bleckley County Fire Chief placed on administrative leave, investigation pending
Bleckley County Commissioner Mike Davis confirmed Fire Chief Matt Kelley was placed on administrative leave until an investigation is complete.
Bleckley County Fire Chief Matt Kelley has been placed on administrative leave, says Bleckley County Commissioner Mike Davis.
Davis told the Times Journal Post on Monday that Kelley was placed on leave pending “further investigation.”
The reason for Kelley’s leave is currently unknown.
According to Davis, all he could say is that the leave will remain in effect until further investigation. He did not indicate why Kelley was placed on leave.
No other information has been released.
Kelley has been the Fire Chief in Bleckley County since 2016.
