Homes2 Suites by Hilton is bringing a new type of stay to Dublin.
Homes2 Suites by Hilton, which opened on Thursday on Travel Center Boulevard, has 92 rooms and 25-plus employees for the 65,000 square foot hotel. Dinesh Patel, owner, said the new facility is a $15 million-plus total investment.
“This is more like extended stay hotels, which are all 100-percent suite rooms,” Patel said. “It feels like home. This is a place that will be like your second home. It’s technically home, and it’s a new Hilton brand. It’s a very nice and successful brand.”
He believes the room costs will run between $150 to $250 a night. Every room has a dishwasher, big refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and ironing board.
“Every speciality that is in the home is in the rooms,” Patel said. “We also have a nice patio, nice pool and grills.”

There are no ovens in the rooms, but induction-burner cooktops are available at no extra cost from the front desk. People can bring food to the hotel and cook on the stovetops in their room or gas grills outside. The hotel is also located near many restaurants.

“We feel like the Hilton brand will be good for Dublin because of the performance we’ve had next door,” Patel said. “Many people like everything we have here. We needed more rooms here, and so I thought just go ahead and build a Home2 here in Dublin.”
Ground broke on Homes2 Suites in November of 2022. It took close to two years to complete the construction. Patel is expected to have business people at Homes2 Suites by Hilton.
“That is the kind of stuff this hotel is for,” he said. “Hilton designed this for the business people who want to stay longer here.”

Miriam Lewis, executive director for Visit Dublin GA, said Homes2 Suites by Hilton will help with those who come into town for business at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Fairview Park Hospital and for other events for schools, businesses or medical fields.
“We have so many people who have been staying (in Dublin) for the workforce, and they have been doing this for years,” Lewis said. “We also have a lot of blue collar workers who are doing work in Laurens County and the surrounding counties. We are a main place to stay. Extended stay is really going to help.
“We have heard so many people being excited about this new hotel. I think it’s going to to enhance our ability to have more visitors. Business travel is huge in Dublin.”
Business travel occurs all year, which means people will be coming in to stay and spend money in the community.
“We believe this is going to be a huge economic boost,” Lewis said. “You are going to see them going to the restaurants, but they will get a little bit more involved in the economics because they’ll be going to the grocery stores and businesses.
“I think it’s going to be a significant boost.”

Patel, who has been living in Dublin for about 30 years, owns the Super 8 here and is a co-partner with Phil Patel with the Hampton Inn, is excited about this new venture.
“This is brand new, and the way it is designed, people are going to love it,” he said. “People are going to love the suite and big rooms. People will enjoy the lobby design, the breakfast design and the pool design. People will enjoy it more than anything else. Location wise, we’re good and the brand is good. We’re going to do good.”
