The man did not know the area well, but told the officer that he was on West Mary Street and made a right onto  Dewey Street, which ends in a cul-de-sac.

The man went to the dead end to turn around and that is when two to three men flagged him down. The man stopped to see what the men wanted. The man said the men wanted a ride to the store. He told them, “no,” and that was when they began to pull on his driver’s side door handle.

The man put his vehicle in drive and proceeded to drive away at a high rate of speed. This is when the men began shooting at his vehicle. After driving away, the man said he realized he had been shot in the left arm and left leg and decided to drive himself to the hospital.
